Cut a tiny bit above the seam and it look fine and feels much better to me. I've washed the 1st one like this- no unraveling so far. I got size L because I do like to machine wash them and I like a baggy fit for this style. I'm 5"8, 150lb, 34"29"40" and the L drapes loosely on me to just above the knee.
